Vijaya Mahadwadashi

Vijaya Mahadwadashi is the Dwadashi of the bright half of Bhadrapada when it falls together with the Shravana nakshatra. It is linked with the birth of Vamana, the fifth avatar of Lord Vishnu, and with the Parsva Ekadashi that comes just before it. In Vaishnava tradition the fast is kept on this Dwadashi.
