Delete your account

In the app

1. Open Profile.
2. Under privacy choices, choose delete my account.
3. Type delete my account to confirm.

Deletion happens straight away and signs you out. It cannot be undone.

By email, if you cannot open the app

Write to hello@paribhaasha.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject delete my account. We check that the request comes from the account holder and then remove the account by hand. We acknowledge a request within 48 hours and aim to finish within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your profile, sign-in details and preferences.
• Reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes, ratings, saved items, wishlist and cart.
• Registered devices and push notification tokens, and your reminder choices.
• Your usage analytics events, and your reader membership record and reminders.
• Your launch-list email address, if you left one.

What is kept

• Orders, invoices, payments, refunds, event tickets, membership payments and subscription records, as tax and accounting law requires. Your name, email, phone number and address are removed from them, and only amounts, dates and reference numbers stay.
• A record that you agreed to our policies and a log that an account was deleted, kept for up to 3 years. The deletion log holds only a one-way code of your account number.
• Daily totals that do not identify anyone, such as how often a Parbāṇī page was viewed.
• An emptied account record with no name, email or phone number, so that the retained financial records stay valid.

Sellers and staff

If you sell through the marketplace and have an unpaid balance, write to hello@paribhaasha.com so it can be settled before deletion. Founder and console accounts are removed by hand.
