Toshali Swadeshi Mela

Toshali Swadeshi Mela 2026 is Odisha’s flagship crafts and handloom fair, held annually at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar and organised by the Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, Government of Odisha. Earlier known as Toshali National Crafts Mela, the 2026 edition adopts the Swadeshi identity to foreground indigenous production systems, artisan livelihoods, and India’s living craft traditions.

The mela brings together hundreds of artisans and weavers from across the country, showcasing handlooms, traditional textiles, terracotta, bamboo crafts, metalwork, tribal jewellery, and regional art forms through direct artisan-to-public engagement. Alongside the craft pavilions, the event features curated theme exhibitions, evening cultural performances, handloom fashion showcases, and a multi-cuisine food court with a strong presence of Odia cuisine.
