Dinakrushna Dasa (c. 1650–1710), honorifically known as Rasa Kabi, was a master Odia poet of the classical Riti Yuga era. Known for his profound devotion to Lord Jagannath and Lord Krishna, he brought unmatched lyrical sweetness, emotional depth, and alliterative ingenuity to medieval Odia literature. His magnum opus, Rasakallola ("The Waves of Divine Rasa"), is a monumental masterpiece in Odia classical poetry. Demonstrating astounding stylistic mastery, every single stanza across all 32 cantos of Rasakallola begins with the Odia consonant 'Ka' (କ). The poem vividly depicts the divine life and plays of Lord Krishna with rich musicality and aesthetic beauty. Dinakrushna Dasa also composed the deeply moving devotional hymn Artatrana Chautisa, along with major kavyas such as Rasa Binoda, Guna Sagar, and Naba Keli. His brilliant linguistic craft and devotional fervor remain a cherished cornerstone of Odia literary heritage.
